Summary: By using CamDocs, you agree to these terms. Use the app responsibly, respect intellectual property rights, and don't misuse our services. We provide the service "as is" and are not liable for certain damages.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the CamDocs mobile application ("App") and related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and CamDocs ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
CamDocs is a privacy-first mobile application that provides:
- Document scanning using your device's camera
- Image enhancement and filter application
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for text extraction
- AI-powered document summarization
- Document organization and export features
- Google Drive Sync (Plus & Pro plans only)
- ID card scanning with guided front/back capture
- PDF to image conversion and import
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
3.2 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may terminate or suspend your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse or misuse the Services
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Subscription Plans

Note: Plus and Pro plans include Google Drive Sync to your own account. Free tier documents are stored locally on YOUR device only. We never store your documents on our servers.
4.2 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed through Google Play
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- You can cancel anytime through Google Play settings
- Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy
4.3 Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before changes affect their renewal.
5. Acceptable Use
5.1 You May
- Scan and digitize your own documents
- Use AI summaries for personal or business purposes
- Export and share your documents
- Use the app on multiple devices with your account
5.2 You May NOT
- Use the app for illegal purposes
- Scan documents you don't have rights to copy
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app
- Share your account with others
- Use automated systems to abuse the service
- Upload malicious content
- Circumvent usage limits or quotas
- Resell or redistribute the service
Important: Scanning copyrighted materials, confidential documents without authorization, or documents for illegal purposes may violate laws and these Terms. You are solely responsible for the content you scan.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Property
The CamDocs app, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app.
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of documents you scan and create. By using our Services, you grant us a limited license to:
- Process your documents to provide the Services
- Store your data as necessary for the Services
- Generate AI summaries from your document text
We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.
7. AI Services
7.1 AI Summary Limitations
- AI summaries are generated automatically and may contain errors
- AI outputs should not be considered professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
- You should verify important information independently
- AI processing is subject to fair use quotas based on your subscription
7.2 Content Restrictions
We reserve the right to refuse AI processing for content that is:
- Illegal or promoting illegal activity
- Harmful, abusive, or threatening
- Violating third-party rights
8. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Privacy-First Architecture: CamDocs is built with privacy at its core. Your documents are stored on YOUR device and YOUR Google Drive. AI usage is logged anonymously (we cannot identify individual users). Login tracking is opt-in only. We never sell your data.
9. Disclaimers
9.1 "As Is" Service
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of results
9.2 Service Availability
We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- That defects will be corrected
- Specific uptime or availability
- Compatibility with all devices
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAMDOCS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
- Damages exceeding the amount paid by you in the past 12 months
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CamDocs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you scan or upload
12. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms in the app
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Sending an in-app notification
Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Services ends
- You may export your data before account deletion
- Paid subscriptions are non-refundable (unless required by law)
- Provisions that should survive (liability, indemnification) remain in effect
14. Governing Law and Disputes
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- If unresolved, binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules
14.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CamDocs.
15.2 Severability
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
15.3 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights to any successor.
